Johannesburg Mtn. at Sunrise

Johannesburg Mountain is one of the most spectacular sights in the North Cascades National Park. Here glaciers precariously hang from its summit while the morning sun casts its warm light onto it's 4,800' north face.

Last Tracks

During a backcountry ski trip to the Pear Lake Hut in Sequoia National Park, California we decided to get last tracks before the sun set. In fading light we skied from the summit of Alta Mountain into the setting sun.

Ohakune Farm at Sunset

This farm road was found near Ohakune, New Zealand during Michelle and my honeymoon. While sheep grazed in the surrounding fields we watched the sunset filter through roadside trees and rolling grass hills.

Flowers in the Tetons

Much of Grand Teton National Park is locked in snow for eight months of the year. With only a few weeks to bloom, these trailside flowers are dwarfed by Grand Teton (13,770') and the surrounding Teton Mountains.
